Generation MIX National Awareness Tour arrived in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California for its fifth stop. The tour is hosted by the Association of Multiethnic Americans and they partnered with HapaSC for their Los Angeles arrival. Generation MIX involves an 8,000 mile tour across the United States of five "mixed race" young adults in their early twenties in a 26-foot RV. Their tour includes stops at community centers and college campuses from Seattle to Boston in an effort to increase mixed race awareness.

Tour crew members and volunteers (a majority of whom were Hapa SC members) assisted visiting individuals and families to learn about the "multiracial" experience through interactive games, reading material, resource lists, activities and conversation.
